HEADLINE INFLATION likely eased to below 6% in October due to lower prices of some food items and a rollback in pump prices, analysts said.
A Business World poll of13 analysts conducted this week yielded a median estimate of 5.7% for the consumer price index (CPI) in October. This is within the 5.1-5.9% forecast of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) for the month.
