THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE eased to 4.5% in October, returning to the record-low level last seen
in October 2019 before the coronavirus pandemic hit, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said.
Preliminary results from the PSA’s Labor Force Survey (LFS) showed the unemployment
rate stood at 4.5% in October, lower than the 5% in September and 7.4% a year earlier.
