THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) raised its key interest rate for the first time since 2018 to tame rising inflation.
The Monetary Board on Thursday increased the benchmark rate by 25 basis points (bps) to
2.25%, as expected by eight out of 17 analysts in a BusinessWorld poll last week.
