INFLATION eased to a two-month low of 6.3% in August, as the rise in
food and transport costs slowed, the Philippine Statistics Authority
(PSA) said on Tuesday.
But the surge in core inflation, which the PSA released for the
first time in eight months after it shifted the base price to 2018, gives
a hint that the worst is not over yet.
